To sync your Facebook and Twitter accounts to Foursquare, tap the drawer (3 lines on the top left of your screen) and then tap ‘’Settings.’ Tap through to 'Sharing with Other Networks.’ From there, follow the steps to link your Facebook and or Twitter accounts. Make sure you have checked all boxes below that apply. For Twitter, you will have to disconnect/reconnect via your computer at foursquare.com/settings, but make sure you have checked the proper boxes within this page of the app.
You can double check the two accounts are linked by viewing your profile on foursquare.com via a computer and a small ‘f’ or ‘t’ will appear by your name.
If your accounts appear properly linked but your posts are not sending, you should disconnect the two accounts at foursquare.com/settings, sign out of Facebook (and sign out of Foursquare and Facebook on your device), then sign back in to both accounts and reconnect them. Also make sure to choose the settings you want: send badges, mayorships, and check-ins to Facebook or Twitter. Facebook has a rate limit of 10 posts in 48 hours from apps like Foursquare.
For Twitter, follow the instructions above to disconnect and reconnect the accounts. The same settings apply as above (tweet mayorship, badge, check-in).
We've been receiving a few questions regarding check-ins not posting to Twitter and it sounds like the check-in screen is a bit confusing. When on the check-in screen, after posting your 'shout,’ make sure the Twitter bird is highlighted in blue (tap once). Once checked, this setting should 'stick' until your next check-in.
